About the app
Maritime Flags is an Android app for learning the flags of the International Code of Signals and the phonetic alphabet, through a reference sheet and flashcard quizzes. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short answer: nothing, because it never collects any.
What the app collects
Nothing. The app has no accounts and does not ask for, collect, store or send:
- your name, email address or any other contact details;
- your location;
- contacts, photos, files or anything else on your device;
- device identifiers or advertising IDs;
- usage statistics, analytics or crash reports.
Permissions
The app requests no Android permissions, not even internet access. It cannot send anything off your device.
Data kept on your device
Quiz scores and timers live only in memory while you play, and are gone when the app closes. The app saves no files or settings, and it opts out of Android cloud backup, so nothing is copied to backup servers.
Advertising and third parties
There are no adverts, no in-app purchases, and no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code in the app. Nothing is shared with or sold to anyone, because there is nothing to share.
This web page
Tapping Privacy policy in the app opens this page in your web browser. Like most web servers, the server hosting this page keeps a standard request log: your IP address, your browser type, the page requested and the time. These logs are used only to keep the server running and secure, are not shared, and are deleted automatically after 14 days. This page uses no cookies, analytics or trackers.
Children
Maritime Flags is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date below will change.
